Asurion Expands Presence In Asia Pacific With The Opening Of Its Tokyo Office

SINGAPORE, 4 November 2003 - Asurion Asia Pacific, leading provider of wireless enhancement solutions, today announced the opening of its third office in the Asia Pacific within a year. Recognizing the growth potential in the Asia Pacific wireless industry for its value-added solutions, which includes handset and data protection, Asurion Asia Pacific is focused on establishing its presence in this region, which boasts of countries with some of the highest mobile phone penetration rates in the world.

Building on its success and expertise in North America, Asurion Asia Pacific, regionally headquartered in Singapore, will spearhead its global expansion plans in the Asia Pacific, starting with Korea and Japan, through its offices in Seoul and Tokyo respectively. Asurion Korea currently manages the Handset Insurance program for VIP subscribers of Korea Telecom Freetel, Co., Ltd ("KTF"), in support of KTF's "Good Time Management" program. Beginning 1 November 2003, this service will be extended to all new sign-ups with KTF.
