Asurion Expands Grassmere Headquarters Site
NASHVILLE, Tenn., 6 May 2005 - Tennessee-based Asurion today announced it has expanded its headquarters at the south Nashville Grassmere Business Park by an additional 50,000 square feet of space to meet the growing demands of its business.
Located at the 648 Grassmere complex, the company now occupies over 132,000 square feet, holding a total of 681 employees.
"We've experienced tremendous growth in the past year, and we needed more space to accommodate our growing staff," said Bret Comolli, chief executive officer. "This expansion will be extremely beneficial for us; it allows us to keep our employee offices close together for better communication and increased efficiency."Asurion signed the contract with the Mathews Company. The original contract included the 42,000-square-foot, third-floor space and an additional 40,000 square feet in an annex building. The company takes over one million service calls a month from wireless customers and ships over 200,000 new and refurbished wireless devices per month.
