Asurion Asia Pacific Appoints Chief Financial Officer
SINGAPORE 06 DECEMBER 06 - Asurion Asia Pacific, leading provider of mobile protection services for the wireless telecommunications industry, today announced the appointment of John Durkin as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). John has more than 17 years of experience in corporate finance, taxation, supply chain, governance and treasury with multi-national corporations.
Prior to joining Asurion, John spent five years at Vodafone Group as the Representative Director and CFO of Vodafone K.K. where he was responsible for finance and supply chain management. He successfully established the Vodafone K.K. finance and supply chain department upon acquisition of the J-Phone operating companies in 2001, supervised financial management of numerous M&A transactions and was a board member of various operating and holding companies within Vodafone.
Before Vodafone, he was Vice President and CFO of Nike Japan Corporation responsible for finance, information systems, and nike.com. He has also held senior financial positions with Ajinomoto General Foods and Philip Morris.
