SINGAPORE, 7 November 2003 - Asurion Asia Pacific announced today the introduction of its Handset Insurance program for all new subscribers of Korea Telecom Freetel Co, Ltd (KTF). This service, already available from 1 November 2003, will protect new sign-ups with KTF against the loss, theft and unintentional damage of their mobile handsets.

Earlier in September 2003, KTF started providing Asurion's Handset Insurance service to its premium subscribers in support of the company's "Good Time Management" VIP Handset Insurance Program. Launched on 29 July 2003, "Good Time Management" is a new management initiative to provide customers with the 'best time' and 'best experience' whenever they are interacting with KTF.

The Asurion Handset Insurance service will now be available to all new KTF subscribers. As part of the special introductory promotion, this service will be offered free for one month to all new KTF subscribers. Subscribers no longer have to deal with the high cost and inconvenience of replacing their lost or damaged handsets, while carriers are protected from subscriber loss or the need to incur expensive equipment concessions to retain the subscriber.
