Asurion Announces Dan Currie's New Appointment As President And CEO Of Asia Pacific

SINGAPORE, 9 March 2004 - Dan Currie has just been promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asurion Asia Pacific, based at the regional headquarters in Singapore. Responsible for spearheading Asurion's global expansion plans to bring its wireless enhancement solutions to Asia Pacific, Dan will continue to drive Asurion's business and build a significant presence in the region.

"We are pleased to announce Dan Currie's new appointment. This promotion is in recognition of the impressive accomplishments Asurion has achieved in Asia since starting out last year, as reflected by the successful customer acquisition in Korea and the budding partnerships Dan and his team have forged. Despite the challenging economic climate in 2003, the Asurion Asia Pacific team met the growth targets set by the board. We are confident that under Dan's outstanding leadership, Asurion is on track to establish a strong footprint in Asia Pacific," said Kevin Taweel, Chairman of Asurion.

Responded Dan Currie, "Despite Asurion only beginning business efforts in Asia last year, the company has made great headway in the region. It is encouraging to note that Asian carriers are quick to recognize Asurion's value proposition - reducing churn, improving customer satisfaction and increasing profitability - which is testament to the team's success in the past year. We are optimistic that 2004 and beyond will be even better for Asurion."

Prior to joining Asurion Asia Pacific, Dan was the Head of Asia for Seven Networks and Commerce One where he built strong business relationships with Asia's top companies. His work with carriers such as SingTel, Optus, NTT, TelecomAsia, LG, FarEasTone, PLDT and others, uniquely qualifies him to lead Asurion's business in Asia.
