Lee Kwai Seng, General Manager, ASEAN and Greater China, Asurion Asia
Pacific
Kwai Seng has over 20 years of management experience in the telecommunications,
IT and logistics industries. With responsibility for business operations
in Greater China and ASEAN, he works closely with mobile operators, handset
manufacturers and distributors to build product awareness and market presence.
He also drives the handset refurbishment operations in the region. Prior
to joining Asurion, Kwai Seng was the Director of Sales Operations at Commerce
One where he led a team of sales engineers across ASEAN, Australia, China,
Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and New Zealand. He has also worked for
SAP Asia and the Ministry of Defense Singapore. An active and respected
member of the regional business community, Mr. Lee sits on numerous boards
across the electronics, media and education industries in Indonesia, Hong
Kong and Singapore. He holds an MBA in International Business from the Henley
Management College, United Kingdom.
Wan Rim, Managing Director, Asurion Korea
As managing director of Korea, Wan is responsible for managing Asurion Korea’s
operations in coordination with all the strategic leads in Asurion Asia
Pacific and building strategic alliances within the region. He comes with
over 12 years of proven leadership and management experience in the Management
Consulting and IT industries. Prior to joining Asurion, he was a fund manager
and venture capitalist with STIC Investment, Inc, one of the largest VCs
based in Korea. Wan had successfully invested into dozens of IT companies
and projects resulting in well over average profits from those investments.
Before STIC, Wan was the Senior Vice President of Daum Communications, where
he was responsible for overseeing the overall strategic matters such as
corporate strategy development, new business development, and M&A’s
as well as e-commerce business build-up and operations. Before STIC and
Daum, Wan was a management consultant and a practice team leader with A.T.
Kearney, and CSC Index, serving global clients in various industries including
SKT, LG, POSCO, etc. He also held various executive positions with IT companies
in Korea as outside director and auditing director.
Takashi Kido, President and CEO, Asurion Japan K.K
Takashi manages and drives the growth of the company in Japan. Prior to
joining Asurion, he was the CEO of DoubleClick Japan and the Supply Chain
Management consultant with i2 Technologies where he successfully spearheaded
many supply chain improvement projects. Takashi has also worked in KPMG
as the Business Process Reengineering and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Consultant for consumer package goods companies and with McDonald's for
20 years where he was responsible for developing marketing strategies and
supply chain management.
